His ability with the fire devil stick has won Ning much acclaim. He is by far the best devil stick manipulator in Hong Kong and has even won a TV competition in 2005 demonstrating his skills. Ning also has a huge range of other skills including clowning, magic and stiltwalking. His skills are much sought after and he has worked for such big clients as Swire and TVB. Ling has enjoyed wide press coverage, appearing in over 20 articles throughout Asia.
